It is very informative book pointing out many positive advances and changes made by Mayor Barry to make District of Columbia (DC) a better place. It highlighted his dedication to civil rights and never ending quest to promote justice to help his people. Potential readers will found new respect for a very intelligent, kind, and passionate human being who was obviously called to be a leader and serve the citizens of DC in the most profound, unselfish manner. As a former resident of DC, he was the best mayor DC has ever had and the residents of DC loved, supported him, and ensured his victory every time he ran for mayor of DC or member of the City Council. This is a very good book to read and shared with young adult who cannot seem to put it down once started reading it. This book also helps in providing a perspective on how a major city, such as DC, is typically run.
